Why choose a Raisin Tree Whoodle?

What is a Whoodle? A Raisin Tree Whoodle is a amazing cross between the Standard Poodle and the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. After over 25 years of breeding both Poodles and Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Elaine is delighted with the results of creating this Designer Breed- The Whoodle. Whoodles are fantastic companions, quick to learn and eager to please. They are wonderful with children! They have a beautiful coat and are non shedding dogs.

A puppy should not be an impulse purchase. Buying a puppy is a commitment for the life of a dog which may live 12 years or more. You owe it to yourself to shop carefully and make sure that you are getting a quality pet who has been bred and raised to insure a sound body and a sound mind. Take time to discuss the characteristics of the Whoodle with different owners and breeders and to see adult Whoodles.

When you choose Whoodles of Raisin Tree Farms- you know you are looking at a pup that has been bred for a greater purpose than 'a cute pet'. Raisin Tree Sires and Dams have been carefully selected for their temperament, conformation, and the betterment of the overall breed. Elaine hopes to create the new 'perfect' family pet breed of the 'Village Terrier' currently known as the Whoodle. She believes firmly that only the Standard Poodle should be used to create this breed as they lend a wonderful calmness and stability to the sometimes 'flightly' Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.

Whoodle Variations

While the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier comes only in 'Wheaten' color, the Poodle addition allows for a great variation of colors which include of course the wheaten color, then black, silver, red, white, chocolate and the popular apricot and more.
